Business Developer

The Opportunity

Hologenomix is taking liquid biopsy out of the lab and into the clinic. We are a med/biotech startup based in Delft developing a platform to isolate cell-free DNA (cfDNA) from biofluids. We have the technology, and we have strong ties with leading institutions like NKI, RadboudUMC, and ErasmusMC. Now, we need to build the business. We are looking for a Business Developer to join us as a team member. You won't just be "doing sales"; you will be working directly with the founders to turn a validated technology into a market-leading company.

What you will actually do

• Get out of the building: You will conduct validation conversations with doctors, lab managers, and patients to figure out exactly what the market needs, then translate that back to our technical team.
• Build the network: You will identify and close strategic partnerships with hospitals and diagnostic labs.
• Secure the runway: You will help us bring in money. This means building a sales pipeline and helping us write winning grant applications.
• Map the landscape: You will become the expert on the Dutch/European healthcare ecosystem, knowing exactly who the early adopters are and how the reimbursement pathways work.

Who you are

• Background: You have an MSc in life sciences or biomedical engineering (or similar) and 2-4 years of business development experience in biotech or diagnostics.
• Network: You already know your way around Dutch/European academic hospitals and diagnostic labs. You don't have to start your contact list from scratch.
• Communication: You are fluent in Dutch and English.
• Bonus points if you have a PhD, experience with liquid biopsy, or have helped a startup raise non-dilutive funding before.
